MANILA, Philippines—Just what does Broadway diva Lea Salonga think of Anne Curtis’ singing?

Answering a query of one of her Twitter followers during her regular “#AskCoachLea” session, “The Voice of the Philippines” mentor said she thinks that Curtis is “still not a singer,” but praised her for her improved intonation.

“She’s still not a singer (which she admits openly). But her intonation is improving,” Salonga posted on her Twitter account Tuesday night.

On Sunday, Curtis performed with Salonga’s fellow “The Voice” coach, Bamboo and some of the show’s finalists, singing a medley of the hits of Swedish group Icona Pop.

At one point in the performance, Salonga was seen standing and dancing. She later said that the number was “so much fun.”

Curtis, a popular TV and movie actress and endorser, also dabbles in singing, turning her own brand of novelty into popular music. She has had sold-out concerts and a hit album.

Salonga, whose career spans more than three decades, was misquoted in a report in 2012 and was made to appear as if she were criticizing Curtis’ foray into singing.  IDL
