K-pop idol gets wish, posthumously
MANILA, Philippines – It was a wish fulfilled for EunB, a member of the all-girl Korean pop group Ladies’ Code, who died Wednesday in a vehicular accident, to have their latest song “I’m Fine Thank You” atop the music chart, according to a report on the Korea Herald.
“I’m Fine Thank You,” from second EP “Pretty Pretty” is at the top of nine music charts on Korea’s prominent music streaming sites, including Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Soribada, the report said.
The song was released last September but gained popularity with people wanting to offer condolences for EunB and fulfill her lifetime dream of “topping the music charts.”
EunB, 22 died after the van she and her group were riding hit a protective wall in the vicinity of the Singal Intersection on the Yeongdong Expressway in the direction of Incheon at 1:20 a.m. The unidentified driver was also killed in the accident. The six other passengers were rushed to St. Vincent’s Hospital, YTN News reported.
RiSe, another member of the group, remains in critical condition as her surgery was stopped due to low blood pressure, according to the same report on the Korea Herald.

EunB’s wake is being held at the Korea University Anam Hospital in Seoul, the Korea Herald said.
