Krista Miller: I’m no stranger to indecent proposals, but I have turned them down
MANILA, Philippines—Whether as an aspiring actress or as a struggling real estate agent, Krista Miller said she has been offered indecent proposals numerous times, but has turned them down repeatedly.
“Marami po akong tinurn-down na kliyente na ganyan (I have turned down several of my clients who made indecent offers),” Miller, who was recently embroiled in controversy for visiting a drug convict in a hospital, said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
She said that most of the indecent proposals in her transactions as real estate agent came from businessmen.
“Usually siyempre mga big time talaga. Andun ‘yung offer na ‘magkano ba commission mo dyan? Gusto mo ‘yan na lang bigay ko sayo? Sinong titira dyan? Gusto mo ikaw na lang itira ko?’ So dapat kaya mong i-handle,” she said.
(Usually, the wealthy ones would make those offers. Offers like ‘how much is your commission? Do you want me to just give you its equivalent? Who will live there? Do you want me to buy that property for you?’ So you have to know how to handle (these offers).)

(I would not continue going to the office three times a week. I would take the MRT because taking a taxi would be more expensive. It is also difficult to park, so I don’t use my car.)
Fearing the ‘red line’
Miller started out as a real estate agent in January and was able to seal a deal right away. “Yung sumunod na sale ko yun ‘yung may indecent proposal. Ako na mismo ang nagsabi na i-cancel ang account.”
(I started receiving indecent proposals during my succeeding sales. I just decided to cancel the account.)
She maintained that her visit to Ricardo Camata, the commander of the notorious Sigue Sigue Sputnik Gang, was only a business meeting. She said she was supposed to follow up on her offer to sell a condominium unit. She said she has failed to meet the monthly quota.
“Red line na po kasi ako. ‘Pag hindi naabot ‘yung monthly sales, ‘yun out of payroll na rin ako,” she said.
(I was already in the “red line.” If I wouldn’t hit my monthly sales, I wouldn’t be paid.)
“Syempre andun ‘yung eagerness ko makabenta. Bilang agent interesado ang kliyente ‘pag kukulitin mo para close ang deal,” Miller also said.
(Of course, I was very eager to sell. As an agent, I felt like I could close a deal much faster if I could get closer with my clients.)
No relation with Camata
Miller denied that she got intimate with Camata when they were left alone in his hospital room for 10 minutes.
“Kina-clarify ko lang po na sa 10 minutes may pumasok na nurse inayos ang swero,” she said, adding that Camata did not show her any motive and never courted her.
(I just want to clarify that in the 10 minutes we were alone, a nurse would come in to fix his serum.)
Amid the controversy, Miller said that her transaction with Camata did not fall through.
Last year, Miller was alleged as the other woman behind the separation of celebrity couple Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz.
