Dani Barretto breaks silence on Claudine-Marjorie feud

MANILA, Philippines — When Ferdinand Topacio, lawyer of Claudine Barretto, posted a tweet about the Year of the Horse, Dani Barretto has had enough and appeared on a television interview on how her family’s feud has spun out of control.

“It’s the Year of the Horse, this could be Dani Barretto’s year,” Topacio wrote on Twitter Tuesday.

“I feel that he should’ve not meddled in the situation, he does not know me personally,” Dani, daughter of Claudine’s sister Marjorie by actor Kier Legaspi, said in an interview aired Sunday. “I was hurt.”

Last Thursday, Dani finally posted a direct attack.

“Not long ago, you would’ve never let anyone speak ill of me. But now, you’re actually asking and paying people to insult me,” said Dani’s post, which many think was directed towards Claudine. “Now that tweet was really for you.”

Dani said that she was merely defending her mom in her previous tweets and not attacking Claudine.

Earlier in May, Claudine said in an interview that on her long list of enemies, she’s mad at Marjorie the most. Claudine alleged that Marjorie won’t allow her to see her nieces, including Dani, despite her efforts to reach out.

Dani said that she was close to Claudine before the feud of a thousand ideas happened.
