MANILA, Philippines— Philippine Azkals heartthrob Phil Younghusband has denied he admitted on Twitter that he got actress Melissa Mendez’s daughter pregnant.

“No, it’s not true. I did not tweet this,” Younghusband said, responding to a fan who asked if it’s true he admitted impregnating Denisse Oca.

His supposed tweet read: “It’s true I got @d_oca pregnant!”

Netizens suspect the tweet that has been spreading was digitally manipulated.

Rumors swirled he fathered Oca’s unborn child, supposedly causing his breakup with actress Angel Locsin.

In a tweet on January 28, Younghusband appealed to “everyone to put an end to the doubts and rumors.”

“I’m not the father of the baby of Denisse nor was it the reason Angel and I broke up. Angel and I ended on good terms,” he said.

“Can I ask we stop bothering Denisse, Angel and myself about this issue.”
