Following Willie Revillame’s announcement of retiring in October this year due to “personal” reasons, TV5 issued a statement on Tuesday wishing him well in “his new pursuits.”

After announcing his decision to retire starting October this year during the Tuesday edition of “Wowowillie,” the staff of Willie Revillame stated on Tuesday afternoon their full support for the famous millionaire-TV host.

BLAME it on the scorching summer temperature. For the second time in two months, controversial TV host Willie Revillame found himself in hot water, with his noontime show on Monrday slapped a rating of Strong Parental Guidance, or SPG, by the review board, for an episode that showed a female dancer named Charm wearing a “skimpy costume” that resulted in “excessive flesh exposure.”

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has summoned the TV5 noontime show “Wowowillie” once again to a hearing set tomorrow (Monday) “due to the skimpy outfits and excessive flesh exposure of female dancers.”

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on Wednesday ordered TV5’s noontime show “Wowowillie” to provide “gender-sensitivity and decorum measures” that would promote “more positive images of women and men.”

Jean Flores, office employee: “I’m glad that Rita Avila is back on television, via ‘Never Say Goodbye.’ Her understated acting style is a breath of fresh air!”

Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) on Thursday summoned ABC-5 to a gender-sensitivity and decorum inquiry next week over an episode of “Wowowillie” aired on February 28, MTRCB chair Eugenio Villareal told the INQUIRER.

Willie Revillame’s return to the noontime slot via “Wowowillie,” has changed the noontime TV landscape. For the first time, all three major networks—ABS-CBN, GMA 7, and TV5—are offering a variety show in the same time slot.
