‘Skyfall’ wins best original song

MANILA, Philippines—“Skyfall” wins best original song in the 85th Academy Awards.

The song of the same title was co-written by British songwriter Paul Epworth and Adele.

Adele recorded it and performed in the Oscars.

“Skyfall” is the most recent James Bond franchise blockbuster written by playwright-screenwriter John Logan (“The Aviator,” “Sweeney Todd” Demon Barber on Fleet Street,” “The Gladiator”) and directed by Sam Mendes (“American Beauty,” “Road To Perdition,” Revolutionary Road”).
Earlier, “Life of Pi” wins best music award.
