“Maybe their play is to delay the case.”

This was the reaction of Myra Abo-Santos, mother of the 17-year-old teen tagged as “papparazo” by sexy star Ellen Adarna,  on the controversial actress’ absence in the June 25 hearing of the child abuse and cybercrime charges filed by their family against the actress.

In a Facebook message sent by Santos to INQUIRER.net, Santos relayed her disappointment on the continued rescheduling of the proceedings because of the actress’ no show act.

“I’m very very disappointed with the turnout of today’s hearing. Ms. Ellen has been given more than one month to answer the charges and to ask for a resetting again and for 2 more weeks pa is sobra na [It’s enough]. Maybe their play is to delay the case but my quest for justice for my daughter is unwavering,” she said.

Santos revealed that the reason cited by Adarna’s camp for her failure to attend the hearing was her sensitive pregnancy “due low normal fetal weight as stated to her medical cert.”

Last June 11, Adarna’s partner, actor John Lloyd Cruz, attended the preliminary investigation of the case on her behalf reportedly for the same reason. /ee
