Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin yet again proved her caliber, as she just bagged the Best Supporting Actress award at the recently concluded 57th Asia-Pacific Film Festival in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Her powerful performance in the film “Everything About Her” earned for her the international recognition. In the film, Locsin played the role of Jaica, a nurse who took care of Vivian, a cancer-stricken career woman played by multi-awarded actress Vilma Santos.
It can be remembered that Locsin did the movie at the time when she was still in a relationship with her controversial ex-boyfriend Luis Manzano, who happens to be Santos’ son. In the past, both former Darna actresses admitted that they were very close. Even after Locsin and Manzano’s break-up, the actress-politician, in her interviews, had always expressed love for Locsin while still being supportive of her son.
Previously, the dramatic film also won Vilma Santos the Best Actress award at the first EDDYs (Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards for Movies) by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) last July 9 at the KIA Theater. It was also at the EDDYs that Angel Locsin won her first Best Supporting Actress award for “Everything About Her”. JB
