Adolfo Alix competes in Rotterdam

Adolfo Alix Jr.’s “Mater Dolorosa” will compete for the Big Screen award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival. Alix’s “Kalayaan,” which will be screened in the Spectrum section along with “Mater Dolorosa,” is vying for the Dioraphte award, given to films supported by the Hubert Bals Fund. The Rotterdam fest will be held in The Netherlands from Jan. 23 to Feb. 3. Alix was one of the honorees in last December’s Inquirer Indie Bravo! Tribute for “Kalayaan.”
