“Eat Bulaga” brought excitement to fans after it released a teaser featuring a “Tamang Panahon” banner, an apparent reference to its previous hit “Kalyeserye” segment.

The longest-running noontime show dropped a video through the TVJ’s Facebook page on Thursday, July 10, in which Wally Bayola’s character, Lola Nidora, can be heard in the background delivering her famous lines from the segment.

The “Kalyeserye” segment, which ran from 2015 to 2016, was a romantic comedy teleserye aired live from the streets during the show’s “Juan for All, All for Juan.”

It saw the rise to stardom of the “AlDub” love team composed of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, who was then fondly called Yaya Dub.

It followed the story of the two actors who only saw each other through the screen, fought for their long-distance love, and were eventually able to meet each other face to face. Other cast members included Jose Manalo as Lola Tinidora and Paolo Ballesteros as Lola Tidora. /ra
