Vicki Belo laments friends being bothered by ‘evil scammers’ posing as her

Vicki Belo informed fans of a “problem” that welcomed her upon return from Europe, saying her name is being used by a scammer asking for money from the celebrity doctor’s friends.
Belo disclosed the number and the photo of her that is being used by the scammer, through her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Oct. 3.
“I’m back from Milan and Paris Fashion Week, but I’ve come back to some problem. There’s someone who’s texting my friends and asking them for money for charity on my behalf,” she said. “Please don’t believe this person.”
“If I really need anything from you, I will not just text, I will call you. I’ve had so many people telling me that they’re bothering them so I just needed to do this post,” she added.

In a separate Instagram post, Belo reminded her followers to be alert and to not “fall for these evil scammers.”

Belo is the latest celebrity whose identity has been used by scammers. Other celebrities who were also victimized by such were Korina Sanchez, Ariel Rivera, Max Collins, Roberta Tamondong and Marvin Agustin, among many others.
