Sheena Palad apologizes for ‘hitting head’ of fellow contestant on TV
After figuring in veteran actress Eva Darren’s snub incident at the 2024 FAMAS Awards night, Sheena Lee Palad has once again found herself in the hot seat after a video of her “hitting” the head of her fellow singing contestant on television went viral on social media.
The young singer issued an apology on a Facebook group composed of her supporters after the video made the rounds on the internet.
“Magandang gabi po sa inyo [Good evening, everyone]. I would like to say sorry for disappointing you with my actions, kanina sa “Beat My Birit,” she wrote.
“Hindi ko naman po alam kung paano ko i-explain ang sarili ko HAHHAA pero manghihingi lang din po ako ng Panalangin sa inyong lahat,” added the singer. (I don’t know how to explain myself [laughing], but I’m just going to ask you all for prayer.)
In a now-deleted comment, the singer also claimed that hitting the head of her fellow contestant was part of the “choreography.”

“Yes. Nakapag-usap na po kami ni Ate Rica Mae Maer! After the show and even now,” responded Palad, adding that she appreciated the reminder. (Yes. Ate Rica Mae Maer and I have talked! After the show and even now.)
Last month, Palad made headlines after she “replaced” Darren as one of the presenters in FAMAS 2024. The singer aired her sentiments at the time, saying she had no idea that she would be replacing the seasoned actress and just did what she was instructed to do.
Palad said one of the staff members had asked her to stand by and asked her to do a “a big favor.”
“Sabi niya, ‘Can you present the award? ’ Sabi ko, ‘Okay, sige. No problem.’—that’s it. ‘Yun lang po, ‘yung alam ko. Hindi ko po alam na si Ms. Eva ‘yung magpe-present po,” she explained.
Palad is the sister-in-law of actress and former MTV VJ Donita Rose, who’s married to singer Felson Palad.
