Janella Salvador postponed 10th-year concert to care for son – manager
The reason behind Janella Salvador postponing her 10th-anniversary concert was that she had to focus on taking care of her son Jude, according to her manager and filmmaker Manny Valera.
Salvador’s label Star Magic announced the postponement of her concert on April 10, citing “unforeseen circumstances.” The show was originally scheduled for April 19 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Days later, Valera explained that the actress-singer had to focus on caring for Jude who was hospitalized due to pneumonia, which in return, made her anxious for her son’s condition.
“Nagka-pneumonia [si Jude], basta nagkasakit and he needed to be hospitalized at St. Luke’s,” said Valera per an Inquirer Bandera report. “Limang araw siya sa ICU. So, siyempre disturbed ang utak [ni Janella].”

She also missed ‘yung mga mall show. Nag-pack up kami ng apat o lima kasi hindi siya maka-focus dahil ang utak niya nasa anak, ‘di ba?”

“And then after four to five days nag-regular room na ng mga two days. One week siya sa hospital,” he continued.

Valera then disclosed that Salvador is targeting a rescheduled date in September, as he noted the latter wants to focus on her other responsibilities before her concert.
“Nagta-target kami base sa last usapan namin September. Kasi gustong tapusin ni Janella ‘yung responsibilities niya kasi until now may promo pa rin ng ‘Mallari’ sa Singapore,” he said. “Tinutupad niya ‘yung trabaho ng isang artista ng ‘Mallari.’ So na-occupy ‘yung oras niya and then siyempre pinasok na namin ‘yung matagal nang schedule na ‘How to Be a Good Wife’ with Jane de Leon.”
(We’re targeting a September date based on our last discussion. Janella wants to finish her responsibilities because she still has promotional activities for “Mallari” in Singapore. She just wants to do her job as one of “Mallari’s” stars. So it occupied most of her time. Her movie “How to Be a Good Wife” with Jane de Leon is also part of her schedule.)
Salvador is also the lead of the cross-cultural film “Under Parallel Skies” which stars Thai actor and brand ambassador Win Metawin.
