In a follow-up post, Salvador said sorry for the postponement and assured her fans that the show would “push through.” She also said that she’ll be “even more prepared” on the day itself.

“On a serious note, I apologize and am so thankful to all those who have been looking forward to my concert. I’m genuinely excited [about] this and would love to be even more prepared for the day it finally pushes through.

Salvador’s concert was originally scheduled to be held at the New Frontier Theater on April 19. Guests include her mother Jenine Desiderio, Jane De Leon, Marlo Mortel, Arizona Brandy, and Brigiding, among many others.

Speculations about Salvador’s concert came following her recent guesting on the noontime show “It’s Showtime” where she turned down a request of hosts Kim Chiu and Anne Curtis for her to sing a few lines from her new album.

“Medyo paos ako ngayon, kayo na lang,” she told Chiu and Anne Curtis at that time, the exact same words she was now making fun of.

Vice Ganda, who is also one of the show’s hosts, however, wasn’t aware of the backstory behind Salvador’s remarks when he used the exact same words that the actress said to explain why a contestant of their show also refused to sing.

The exchanges became viral on social media with Salvador drawing flak for supposedly being rude to Chiu and Curtis, while Vice Ganda was accused of adding fire to the flame.

Fellow host Karylle, however, clarified in an interview that there were no “ill feelings” between Salvador and the other hosts, as they were in on the joke that they were having backstage prior to the show. Also, she said that it was understandable that Salvador was preparing for her concert so she was preserving her voice.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda wasn’t aware of the backstory behind Salvador’s remarks, Karylle said.
