Khloé Kardashian created a noise online after netizens sent her “condolences” messages following the death of convicted murderer, O.J. Simpson, who had long been rumored to be her real father.

On X (formerly Twitter), Kardashian trended next to Simpson’s name as online users brought back the rumors that the former NFL star, who recently died of cancer, was the socialite’s true dad.

The paternity rumors began to mill after Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, revealed in her memoir that she had an affair during her marriage with the late Robert Kardashian, and netizens speculated that the third party was Simpson.
The ex-football player had a close relationship with the Kardashians after Robert served as his lawyer during his trial in 1994 for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. O.J. was acquitted of the murder charges in 1995 but was later found liable in a civil trial.
The hearsay gained ground after Robert’s then-wife Jan Ashley claimed in a 2012 interview that her husband had confessed to her that “Khloé was not his biological daughter.” Despite the theory gaining a fraction among the netizens, both O.J. and Khloé denied them.
“My dad is Robert Kardashian. My other dad is [Caitlyn] Jenner. I don’t need someone to tell me who my family is. I have had the blessing of having two phenomenal fathers. I don’t need a DNA test to prove who my father is,” Khloé declared at the time in the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” episode titled “Who’s Your Daddy?”
O.J. echoed his rumored-daughter’s statement on the Full Send podcast in December 2022, saying, “The rumor ain’t true. It’s not even anywhere close to being true.” He admitted though that he was attracted to Jenner, adding, “But, you know, I was dating supermodels!”
Meanwhile, upon the news of football legend’s death, Caitlyn Jenner, one of the former husbands of Kris before she came out as a trans woman in 2015, posted on X, saying that the convicted murderer’s death was “Good Riddance.”
