Selena Gomez has denied gossiping about Timothee Chalamet and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner with Taylor Swift and another friend during a break at the Golden Globes.

Commenting on the Instagram post of entertainment portal E News, Gomez clarified that she was not spilling “tea” about Chalamet and Jenner when she was talking to Swift, apparently referring to their viral video wherein she and the “Cruel Summer” singer were huddling closely together with another friend.

“No, I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s anyone’s business,” she affirmed.

Aside from Jo Koy’s hosting that raised a few eyebrows, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer’s intimate conversation with Swift was one of the things that trended at the 81st Golden Globes after a few claims surfaced that Jenner refused Gomez a picture with Chalamet.

In a new video posted by TMZ, the “Dune” actor denied that there’s bad blood between her current girlfriend and the “Who Says” singer. “Of course,” he said in answer to a question if he and Gomez are on good terms, and responding with a simple “No” when asked if Jenner was being mean to the actress-singer.

Chalamet and Jenner were the talk of the town during the 2024 Golden Globes after their intense public display of affection (PDA) at the ceremony. Gomez, on the other hand, was also not one to refuse the spotlight, as she also shared a few romantic snaps of herself and her boyfriend, Benny Blanco.

The 2024 Golden Globes drew 9.4 million viewers on its Sunday night airing, an increase from last year’s ceremony ratings; however, it remains lower viewership if compared to the previous ceremonies pre-pandemic.

The 81st edition of the prestigious awarding ceremony saw the war movie “Oppenheimer” and family drama “Succession” emerge as the biggest winners with five and four wins, respectively.
