Alex Gonzaga in tears after watching ‘Firefly’: ‘Gusto ko lalo maging mommy’
Alex Gonzaga has nothing but admiration for the production team and cast of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) film “Firefly,” which made her yearn more for motherhood.
The actress-TV host, who suffered from two miscarriages, showed a poster of the movie which tells the story of a mother and son, via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
“[Mamamatay] ako kakaiyak! Ang ganda ng kwento. Ang cute-cute ni Tonton. Kahit wala pa ako anak, sobra iyak ako,” she said, referring to one of the main characters in the film that is portrayed by child actor Euwenn Mikaell.
Gonzaga commended Mikaell not only for his charm but also for his acting chops.
“Gusto ko lalo maging mommy dahil sa character mo,” she addressed the young actor.

Gonzaga and Morada got married in January 2020. They lost their first baby in October 2021 after the actress suffered from a blighted ovum, which occurs when a fertilized egg cell does not develop or stops developing, leading to miscarriage.
In November last year, Gonzaga revealed that she tried conceiving through in-vitro fertilization, but unfortunately had another miscarriage. Despite this, Gonzaga has remained hopeful that she and Morada will have their rainbow baby by God’s grace.
