‘Showtime’ host Cianne Dominguez traumatized after ‘attempted rape’ incident
The father of Cianne Dominguez, one of the hosts of the noontime show “It’s Showtime,” narrated how his daughter was traumatized after a perpetrator allegedly followed her and attempted to rape her in her condo.
“Tonight, my family [was bothered by] what happened to my daughter Cianne Dominguez. She was [a victim of attempted rape] by this guy named Shervey S. Torno—a gay bay dancer and performer,” Johng Florendo said in his Facebook page, while showing photos of the suspect.
“Short story is, the suspect followed my daughter to her condo, forcibly preventing the door to be closed and held her waist, forcing to kiss her,” he continued.
Florendo said Dominguez was able to resist and fight back the perpetrator, who tried to run away from the noontime show host and was caught in a video doing so.
According to Florendo, the suspect is now under the custody of Quezon City Police District 1o and is facing charges. Florendo, however, did not immediately expound on the complaints filed against the suspect.
