Luis Manzano commended for noticing a deaf member of the audience in ‘It’s Your Lucky Day’
“It’s Your Lucky Day” host Luis Manzano earned praises for being inclusive after he gave a chance to a hard-of-hearing person in the studio audience to dance and win a cash prize.
During the show’s “Pangma-luckcashan” segment on Monday, Oct. 16, the hosts went to the studio audience and chose 10 individuals who would be part of the game.
When the chosen contestants were already on the stage, Lester, a person in the studio who is deaf, caught Manzano’s attention.
“Gusto ko lahat ng ating ka-lucky involved. May tumatawag sa akin kanina na isang ka-lucky natin na kung hindi ako nagkakamali ay medyo may konting problema sa pandinig,” Manzano said while walking toward Lester.
(I want all our lucky audience to be involved. Someone from the audience who is hard of hearing, if I’m not mistaken, was calling me earlier.)

Lester went on and danced animatedly to the ABS-CBN game variety show’s theme song. Manzano cheered for Lester, then gave the latter a hug as well as a P1,000 cash prize.
“Maraming salamat, [Lester]! Grabe, ang sweet naman ni Kuya Luis,” fellow host Melai Cantiveros said. (Thank you so much, Lester! Wow, Kuya Luis is so sweet.)
