Sarah Geronimo thanks parents Divine, Delfin on her 20th showbiz anniversary

Despite a seeming falling-out with her parents Divine and Delfin, Sarah Geronimo made sure to express her gratitude to them as she celebrated her 20 years in show business.
The singer-actress had a small celebration together with her husband, actor-TV host Matteo Guidicelli, and head of Viva Communications Vic del Rosario, as seen in a video shared by fan account @ksgdlz on TikTok.
Geronimo was surprised with a bouquet and a cake, while Guidicelli can be heard asking his wife for a speech in the background.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako kay Lord at umabot ako ng dalawang dekada dito sa showbiz, at sa lahat ng sumu-suporta sa akin, ang mga Popsters,” she then said. (I thank the Lord as well as those who support me, my Popsters, [who are the reason why] I was able to stay here in show biz for two decades.)
“At sa akin pong mga magulang, sa aking Mommy Divine at aking Daddy Delfin guwapo, sa aking family, my fur babies, my Viva family, ABS-CBN family, thank you (To my parents—my Mommy Divine and handsome Daddy Delfin, to my family, fur babies, Viva family, ABS-CBN family, thank you),” she continued. “And my husband, thank you, my love, Matteo Guidicelli.”
In the video, Del Rosario can also be seen teasing the couple to have a baby, saying it should be their “priority” and that “money will come in after the baby.”

Geronimo marked her 20th showbiz anniversary on March 1 with the release of her new song “Habang Buhay.” Meanwhile, it can be recalled that her secret wedding with Guidicelli in 2020 sparked the interest of the public amid the disapproval shown by her mother, Divine.
Despite this, Geronimo asked her parents in October last year for forgiveness for her “life decisions” that affected their relationship. /ra
