IU, Park Bo-gum confirmed to lead cast of new historical drama
South Korean actors IU and Park Bo-gum will be teaming up in the upcoming historical drama “You Have Done Well,” a series by “Fight for My Way” writer Im Sang Choon.
The actors’ casting was confirmed by Pan Entertainment, the company that will produce the series, as reported by Korean media outlet Soompi on Friday, Jan. 27.
“You Have Done Well” will tell the love story of Ae Soon and Gwan Shik set in Jeju Island in the 1950s. IU will take on the role of Ae Soon, while Park Bo-gum will portray Gwan Shik.
The TV series, which will be helmed by “Signal” and “My Mister” director Kim Won Seok, is reportedly set to begin filming in the first half of 2023.
IU is known for her roles in the hit Korean TV series “Hotel Del Luna,” “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” and “Dream High,” among others. She was recently confirmed to be dating fellow actor Lee Jong Suk.
