Iza Calzado reflects on ‘life-changing’ pregnancy ahead of childbirth: ‘What a ride it has been!’

As she prepares for the arrival of her first child, Iza Calzado is looking back on her pregnancy journey and how the past nine months have been a “life-changing” season for her.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Jan. 23, the 40-year-old actress recounted the moment she embraced and “honored” her baby bump during a flight to London in September last year.
“This was the moment I felt and decided to hang up my jeans temporarily and honor my growing belly,” she said while showing photos of herself from the said flight. “I do miss dressing up in my old clothes but I honestly feel I will miss this beautiful pregnant belly of mine and feeling the kicks of my baby inside even more.”
“As we approach the final stretch of this chapter of our lives, I reflect on this journey and how life changing this season is,” she added. “What a ride it’s been! Konti na lang (Just a little more time to go)… Thank you, Lord!”

The glowing mom-to-be then received compliments from fellow celebrities and well wishes from netizens. They all expressed excitement over the arrival of Calzado’s baby.

Calzado announced on her 40th birthday last August that she was expecting her first child with husband Ben Wintle, then revealed in November that they were having a baby girl.
