Iza Calzado is showing that she is one strong mom-to-be as she maintains a healthy and fit lifestyle by undergoing strength training amid pregnancy.

The 40-year-old actress lifted, pushed and pulled weights in a gym with her trainer Culver Padilla, as seen in a video on the latter’s Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 27. Padilla stressed how exercising helps pregnant women prepare for labor and delivery.

“STRONG MOMS GROW STRONG BABIES,” he said. “Strength training is OK, as long as you stick to relatively low weights… Gave her some safe workouts that would strengthen her body during pregnancy.”

Calzado also appears to have missed working out as she stated she is “so happy to be back.”

Calzado announced during her 40th birthday celebration last month that she and her husband, businessman Ben Wintle, are expecting their first child. Although she admitted that the pregnancy was unplanned, Calzado stressed that it is “very highly appreciated.”

Meanwhile, the actress recently went on a trip to the United Kingdom where she spent time with her family and “soaked up all the good energy” for her mind and body. JB
