Melissa Gohing recalls birthing journey, explains why Rocco Nacino will be ‘the best daddy’

Melissa Gohing looked back at her birthing journey with her first child, as she explained why she believes her husband, actor Rocco Nacino, will be the “best daddy” to their baby EZ.
Gohing recalled the day she welcomed her son while showing moments from her baby’s birth on her Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 14. She noted that she and Nacino, who she calls Nico, decided to have a caesarean operation instead of pushing through with a normal delivery.
“We chose to do whatever was necessary to get the baby out safe and healthy. At first, I was scared. Everything went by so fast. It was all a blur,” she said.
Gohing recounted that on that day, she was supposed to have a meal with Nacino’s sister, but she had to be rushed to the hospital instead after her water broke in the parking lot of the mall. Luckily, Nacino’s sister and her family were there to support her.
“Nico’s parents rushed to the hospital as well to help us even if they all had a trip the next day to Batangas. I only stayed in the delivery prep room for more or less an hour, then they brought me to the delivery room,” she narrated. “It was a moment when everything around you slowed down, just like in the movies.”
Gohing remembered that she was shaking when she started going into labor until she was calmed down by Nacino’s voice entering the delivery room.
“My [caesarean] surgery made me appreciate my husband more. I know he’s super tired because he didn’t have any help to taking care of me and [baby EZ]. Not once did I hear him complain,” she said. “He was still smiling while making baby EZ calm down at 3 a.m.”
“I know he’s going to be a great daddy. Now, he is doing everything to be the best daddy for our EZ,” Gohing added.

Nacino and Gohing welcomed their son EZ last Sunday, Oct. 9, and announced his birth on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The couple, who got married in January 2021, revealed last May that they were expecting their first baby, after initial struggles to get pregnant. /ra
