Nadine Lustre hopes public to still vote, not be discouraged by ‘inconveniences’

Nadine Lustre reminded the public to observe the do’s and don’ts in voting amid multiple reports of malfunctioning vote counting machines (VCM).
Lustre spoke about the issue after receiving messages from fans, as per her Twitter page today, May 9.
“Please DO NOT leave the precinct until [you] put your ballot in the machine and you have your receipt. Check your receipt too,” she said. “People are messaging me telling me the printers in their [precincts] are broken.”
Lustre then expressed her hopes that the public still exercise their right to vote despite “inconveniences.”
“Sana wag madiscourage yung mga tao na bumoto dahil sa mga inconveniences,” she added. (I hope people would not be discouraged amid inconveniences.)

According to the Commission on Elections (Comelec), some 1,800 vote counting machines (VCMs) have malfunctioned but the issues have already been resolved. Despite this and power outages, Comelec acting spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said that voting will proceed. JB
