Kisses Delavin claims top spot in Miss Universe Philippines intro video challenge

After winning the beauty pageant’s best headshot prize, Kisses Delavin topped another challenge in Miss Universe Philippines, this time by getting the most votes for her introduction video in the competition.
The Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced that there were 15 candidates who earned the top spots for the challenge, as seen on a poster on its Facebook page yesterday, Aug. 7.
“Here are the delegates who topped our video introduction challenge! Congratulations, ladies!” it stated.
Delavin was joined in the top three by TikTok personality Ayn Bernos of San Juan and “Asia’s Next Top Model” season five winner Maureen Wroblewitz. Bernos and Wroblewitz were also part of the top three candidates who won in the pageant’s headshot challenge.

Delavin’s fellow candidates who also made it to the top 15 of the challenge include Steffi Rose Aberastusi, Katrina Dimaranan, Leren Mae Bautista, Maria Corazon Abalos, Kamille Alyssa Quinola, Noelyn Rose Campos, Cheri Angel Anne Flejores, Angela Nikki de Grano, Gianne Kryssee Tecson Asuncion, Isabelle de los Santos, Mirjan Hipolito and Princess Kristha Singh.
Votes were cast through Miss Universe Philippines’s official app from Aug. 2 to Aug. 6. The organization stated through an earlier Instagram post that social media engagements had no bearing in the selection of its winners.
Delavin, who represents Masbate, talked about her work as an actress and performer in her introduction video. She also gushed over her love for food.
“A fun fact about me is that I am a food lover. I love rice, I love ulam, all kinds of ulam, and everything in between,” she said.
The Miss Universe Philippines Organization is having its delegates will go through a series of challenges to determine who will advance further into the competition. Each challenge will trim the roster until only 30 delegates remain.
All final candidates can be seen at the live coronation ceremony on Sept. 25. JB
