WATCH: Janine Gutierrez, Paulo Avelino tie the knot in ‘Marry Me, Marry You’ first look
Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino will be tying the knot onscreen in “Marry Me, Marry You,” the first look at the star-studded Kapamilya series showed.
ABS-CBN’s Dreamscape treated fans to a 10-minute teaser for the upcoming teleserye showing Gutierrez and Avelino in their wedding attires via Facebook yesterday, June 30.
The behind-the-scenes clip starts out with Gutierrez admitting that she wants to get married in real life, explaining, “Kapag sinabi mo kasing marriage, parang it’s so forever talaga na siyempre sobrang papahalagahan mo iyan.”
(When you say marriage, it really is so forever that of course, you will value it so deeply.)
“Kailangan siguradong sigurado ka. Exciting din siyang isipin para sa akin (You have to be very sure. It really is exciting for me to think about),” the actress noted.

When Avelino asked Gutierrez if she is ready for marriage now, however, the actress only responded with a laugh and said, “Depende (It depends).”

Gutierrez and Avelino will be joined by Cherry Pie Picache, Jake Ejercito, Lito Pimentel, Vina Morales, Edu Manzano and new Kapamilya artist Sunshine Dizon, among others.
For her part, Picache noted that she is “so blessed and happy to be part of the show,” which she described in the teaser as “something new” and “something hip.”
Directors Dwein Baltazar and Jojo Saguin likewise shared their thoughts on the show, noting that it will be different in a way in that it is lighter than typical teleseryes.
“Ang ‘Marry You, Marry Me,’ sobra niyang relatable na series. Tungkol siya sa characters ni Janine na si Camille at ni Paulo na si Andrei na merong dalawang completely different na family at tsaka world na pagbabanggain at pagmi-meetin natin,” Baltazar shared.
(“Marry You, Marry Me” is a very relatable series. It will focus on the characters of Janine, who is Camille, and Paulo, who is Andrei, who have two completely different families and worlds, and we will have them collide and reconcile.)
“As much as possible, our goal is to be light pero nakakapag-paiyak ng tao. Hindi ‘yung may walling, matataas ang boses na may sigawan. Dito ita-try natin na ibahin although kahit siya light, may kurot sa puso,” Saguin, meanwhile, said.
(As much as possible, our goal is to be light but still be able to make people cry. Not in a way that there will be wailings, loud voices with shoutings. Here, we will try to change that and although it is light, it will still tug at the heartstrings.)
Dreamscape and ABS-CBN have yet to announce a release date as of this writing, but noted that the show is “coming soon.” /ra
