Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson tears down own gate when it wouldn’t open: ‘Man’s gotta go to work’

Apart from being a former professional wrestler, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is also known for his work in movies like “Moana”, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”, “Central Intelligence”, “Pain & Gain” and the”Fast and the Furious” franchise, among others.
Now, he’ll also probably be known as the guy who ripped his own front gate when it would not open.
Fear not; there are no anger management issues here, just a man who wanted to get to work on time.
The action star took to Instagram on Sept. 19 (Sept. 18 in the United States) where he shared a photo of his front gate, which he had ripped from the hinges.
“Not my finest hour but a man’s gotta go to work. We experienced a power outage due to severe storms, causing my front gate not to open,” he explained. “I tried to override the hydraulic system to open the gates, which usually works when power goes out — but this time it wouldn’t.”

Johnson said that he made some calls to determine how long the gate technicians would arrive, but added he did not want to wait 45 minutes.
At the time, he considered the hundreds of production crew members all waiting for him at work. So, he was left with no recourse.
“I pushed, pulled and ripped the gate completely off myself. Tore it out of the brick wall, severed the steel hydraulics and threw it on the grass,” he said.
Johnson’s security team met up with the gate technician and welders an hour after he had left and, in his words, were “in disbelief and equally scared.”
In another post, Johnson shared video clips of the wreckage. In one clip, three people can be seen carrying one of the gates to bring it to the side of the driveway.

Johnson, in the end, expressed his gratitude to the technicians and welders for taking care of the destruction he left behind.
“Maybe next time I’ll just hop the gates and call an Uber. Actually, no I won’t. There’s no fun in that…” he quipped. “Thank you, gentlemen. Just one of those days where I wasn’t in the mood. We’ve all been there.”
