“GUYSH, [COVID-19] is not a [j]oke,” she stressed. “Oo, sakit [siya], virus [siya]. Pero mas PARANG ikakamatay mo ang FEAR AND ANXIETY pag nagkaroon ka.”

(Yes, it’s a sickness, it’s a virus. But it feels like you would more likely die of fear and anxiety if you contract it.)

When she learned that she had contracted the disease, Bautista said she asked God for two things.

“‘Lord, hindi pa ako pwedeng mamatay [kasi] mababawasan ng maganda ang mundo’ AND ‘Lord, I surrender everything to you,’” the actress stated.

(Lord, I cannot die yet because the world will lose a beautiful person.)

“And I was OK. Nagpaka[n]ormal ako, dahil alam kong mas [magkakasakit] ako kapag HINDI ako umayos sa isip at sa gawa,” she added.

(I became normal, because I know that I will get more sick if I do not fix my thinking and my actions.)

She then emphasized that prayers can help everyone who is also battling the disease.

Following her recovery, Bautista will also be uploading a vlog post about her battle with COVID-19 soon.

Along with Bautista, her fellow celebrities such as Michael V. and Iza Calzado have also recovered from COVID-19 after fighting the disease.

There are over 252,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines as of yesterday, Sept. 11. The Department of Health also reported that 4,108 have died from the disease, while more than 186,00 have recovered.  /ra
