Megastar Sharon Cuneta remembers her late father, former Pasay City Mayor Pablo Cuneta, as she deals with issues concerning her family.

Cuneta took to Instagram yesterday, July 2, to pen a short letter to her father, wishing that he was still alive and with her amid these trying times.

“Hi, Daddy ko…I wish you were here right beside me now. There has never been anyone like you in all my life. No one has ever loved me as much as you have,” she said.

“All I have left of you is your DNA and your blood running through my veins. I miss you oh so much…there are no words that can express how much…I love you my Daddy,” Cuneta added.

Pablo passed away due to cardiac arrest almost two decades ago in September 2000, at the age of 90. His remains lie at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.

“You left me almost twenty years ago, but it feels like you left me only yesterday…I need your words of wisdom and your reassuring words, your love… Oh Daddy ko…How I miss your strength and your gentleness at the same time,” Cuneta stressed.

Cuneta recently let out her frustrations over the country and several issues after a netizen threatened to rape her daughter Frankie, who has been a prominent voice online when it comes to political and social issues.

“I don’t know what’s happened to our country,” she lamented in a 45-minute Instagram Live video on June 29, in which she addressed a number of issues.

For one, Cuneta said she hopes Vice President Leni Robredo will run for President in 2022 so the country can become “decent” again, noting that Duterte will not be able to run for office again.

“I hope VP Leni runs for president next time dahil hindi na rin makakatakbo si Tatay next time. One term lang ‘di ba,” she noted, referring to Duterte as “Tatay.”
