‘BeyVico’: Bea Alonzo meets Vico Sotto as she brings relief goods to Pasig frontliners

Bea Alonzo and her charity organization, I Am Hope, handed over relief bags and disinfectants for frontliners to Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto yesterday, June 20.
The actress posted photos of her and her team with Sotto and the supplies on her Instagram page on the same day while poking fun about meeting the mayor.
“Hi Mama! Nakilala ko na ang paborito mo! (Hi Mom! I already met your favorite!) [laughing emoji] Joke!” she said, referring to a popular line of Sotto’s mother, Coney Reyes, in the 2013 film “Four Sisters and a Wedding”, which also starred Alonzo.

Alonzo then explained that she and her organization donated the items for frontliners working amid the COVID-19 pandemic. She also thanked Sotto and congressman Roman Romulo for meeting with them.
“In line with Father’s Day, we intend to celebrate the fathers who choose to serve the community by cleaning the streets and picking up our garbage,” Alonzo said.
“MARAMING SALAMAT PO sa mga tatay na street sweepers at garbage collectors sa pagtulong sa ating kumunidad at sa pagttrabaho ng marangal para sa kanilang pamilya,” she added.

Following her post, Alonzo’s fellow celebrity Janus del Prado joked about how she and Sotto looked good together. Del Prado quickly offered couple names for the two such as “BeVico”, “BeyVico” and “Biko”.

Dimples Romana also appeared giddy over Alonzo and Sotto as she echoed Del Prado’s sentiments while using the hashtag #BeyVico.

Along with their donation to the frontliners in Pasig City, Alonzo and her team have also previously raised P9 million through cash and in-kind donations for COVID-19 relief efforts. JB
