LOOK: Pia Wurtzbach shows how to create DIY face shields
Pia Wurtzbach showed her fans how to create their own face shields at home amid the spread of the coronavirus in the Philippines.
The beauty queen posted instructions on how to put together a do-it-yourself (DIY) face shield on her Instagram page yesterday, May 4.
“Our community frontliners brave the threat of disease daily so we can enjoy the comforts that their sacrifices afford us,” Wurtzbach then pointed out. “Let’s show gratitude to our deliverymen, security guards, supermarket cashiers, and other frontline workers by keeping them protected.”

To create a face shield, one needs to cut a sheet of clear plastic into a piece “big enough to shield one’s eyes, nose and mouth.” The sheet should then be attached to a clean hat using tape, glue or thread.
