Pia Wurtzbach gives 11,900 face masks to hospitals
Pia Wurtzbach distributed 11,900 face masks evenly to frontliners in a dozen hospitals that are treating COVID-19 patients.
The Miss Universe 2015 winner handed out the supplies last Monday, April 6, as per her Instagram post on the same day.
“Time well spent today,” she said, alongside a series of photos of her with the donations.

Wurtzbach also expressed her gratitude to those who donated to her fundraiser for the masks. She announced the launch of her crowdfunding page on March 29 and said she aimed to distribute a total of 25,000 face masks to various hospitals treating COVID-19 patients.
The 11,900 masks were part of the latest batch that she handed out to hospital workers. Prior to that, Wurtzbach also gave 5,000 masks to four other medical centers, as per an update on March 31.
