Being confined to home due to the quarantine appears to be the best time for some celebrities to catch up on their reading. Actresses Kathryn Berardo, Sarah Lahbati and model Kim Jones thus have been asking their fans for book recommendations.

Bernardo apparently loves reading the works of American bestselling author Mitch Albom, as seen on her Instagram post yesterday, May 4. The actress showed her latest reading from Albom, the 2003 novel “Five People You Meet in Heaven”, which came highly recommended after she posted about the 2000 memoir “Tuesdays with Morrie”, also by Albom.

“Certain things happen that make us question life—whether good or bad—and most of the time, we don’t get the answers we’re looking for right away,” the actress mused.

“WE all have our purpose. OUR lives are all interconnected,” Bernardo added. “We just don’t have all the answers… yet.”

Bernardo also asked her fans if she should read the book’s sequel “The Next Person You Meet in Heaven” or the author’s 2006 novel “For One More Day”.

Lahbati also asked her fans for more book recommendations via her Instagram post last Sunday, May 3.

The actress enjoys the works of some American novelists, namely “Daisy Jones & The Six” by Taylor Jenkins Reid, “Ask Again, Yes” by Mary Beth Keane and “City Of Girls” by Elizabeth Gilbert.

Meanwhile, actor Jericho Rosales’s wife, Jones, has been giving out books from her personal collection in exchange for more title recommendations.

The first book Jones put up for grabs was her copy of “The Water Cure” by Sophie Mackintosh, as seen on her Instagram page on April 28.

Since then, the model has offered several books such as “An American Marriage” by novelist Tayari Jones, “Educated” by American memoirist Tara Westover and “Pachinko” by Korean-American writer Min Jin Lee.

Jones, while also quoting the memoir “When Breath Becomes Air” by the late doctor Paul Kalanithi, expressed her gratitude for the thousands of book recommendations that came her way on April 29.

“Your recommendations have been incredible, so varied, so many I haven’t read yet,” Jones said. “I went through all 1300 of them and my hand hurts from writing them down. My thumb thanks you.⁣” JB
