LISTEN: Ryan Cayabyab releases new song ‘Kapit Lahat’ for 66th birthday

National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab composed a new song titled “Kapit Lahat” in time for his 66th birthday yesterday, May 4.
The said track was performed by the musical group Ryan Cayabyab Singers, as seen on their YouTube channel on May 3.
The seven-piece group described the tune as “a song that wishes to remind us that despite our current situation, we can get through this challenge together.”
Cayabyab was also featured in the song’s music video, where he spoke about helping each other during hard times. Aside from his new original composition, Cayabyab has also been extending help amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic through his initiative called “Bayanihan, Musikahan.”
The effort is a series of online concerts from various Filipino artists to raise funds for those affected by the spread of the virus.
Those interested in helping may send their monetary donations through this page. The initiative has raised over P66.8 million as of April 30. /ra
