Ogie Diaz to Mocha Uson: ‘Wag kang sumipsip, kahit ang pangulo ‘di bibilib sayo’

Talent manager Ogie Diaz clarified that his “constructive criticism” of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Esther Margaux “Mocha” Uson is motivated by his desire to correct her.
Diaz covered a wide range of topics, from Kim Chiu’s shooting incident to ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal. When director Paul Singh Cudail asked the manager about his thoughts on Uson, Diaz replied that he had no personal resentment toward the former dancer, as seen on Diaz’s YouTube channel last Thursday, March 5.
Cudail noted how Diaz has been vocal about questioning the OWWA deputy administrator on social media, which prompted Diaz to explain: “Hindi ako nagagalit kundi gusto ko siyang ituwid, dahil mali yung mga pino-post niya (I’m not mad [at her], but I want to correct her because what she has been posting are wrong).”
Uson recently expressed that she favored the shutdown of the media conglomerate ABS-CBN, amid the issue of its franchise renewal in Congress. To make his point that there is no bad blood between them, Diaz recalled seeing Uson once and that Uson even greeted him.
Diaz further explained though why he is against some of Uson’s statements: “Pinalalala niya pa yung sitwasyon, pinagniningas niya yung galit ng mga tao, lalo na sa ABS-CBN (She’s making the situation worse by fueling people’s anger, especially at ABS-CBN).”
The manager said that everyone is entitled to his or her opinion but that his concern lies in the fact that Uson is deviating from her current job description.
“Ano ka ba PCOO? Dun ka ba sa Malacañang press?” Diaz questioned. “Yung trabaho mo kase medyo nakakalimutan mo na.”
(What are you, [an employee of] the PCOO (Presidential Communications Operations Office)? Are you with the Malacañang press? Because you’re forgetting your [real] job.)
The comedian also narrated some stories of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who message him, complaining about Uson. Diaz said that what the people want to see is Uson doing her job, especially since she gets over P155,000 per month in salary.
“Kase yun ang gustong makita ng mga tao, na hindi nasasayang ang pasweldo ng taong bayan—ng buwis ng taong bayan (Because what the people want to see is their taxes not going to waste),” he stated.
Diaz reiterated that Uson should stick to her job description, instead of insulting Vice President Leni Robredo and some senators. He added that spreading “fake news” does not benefit President Duterte.
“Dapat ikaw mismo tulungan mo yung pangulo—wag kang sumipsip,” he said. “Pagsumipsip ka nang sumipsip, gusto mo lang magpalapad ng papel sa pangulo, kahit ang pangulo ‘di bibilib sayo.”
(You should help the president—don’t be a bootlicker. If you keep on flattering [the President] to appear more important before his eyes, even he himself won’t be impressed about you.)
Diaz added that if Uson decides to focus on her job and unite the Filipinos, instead of dividing them, he would praise her or even worship her feet.
“Sana ikaw ang maging dahilan—ikaw ang susi—para yung dalawang magkalaban na grupo eh ikaw yung maging daan para magkabatibati sila. Wag na tayo mag-create ng gulo.”
