Oops! Vice Ganda tags wrong Erwan as he congratulates Anne Curtis and hubby for first baby; namesake reacts

After celebrity couple Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff welcomed baby Dahlia Amélie into this world on March 2, comedian Vice Ganda immediately congratulated the two through a simple message on Twitter on the same day.

Some netizens could not help but notice that Curtis’ “It’s Showtime!” co-host wrongfully tagged a Twitter user named Erwan Loisant (@erwan) instead of the chef-vlogger’s official Twitter account @erwanheussaff. The Twitter user, who calls himself “the real Erwan,” responded to Vice’s post and stated that it was a common mistake.

“Congratulations @annecurtissmith and @erwan!” Vice said. “Can’t wait to see your beautiful baby girl! God bless your whole family.”

“When the wrong Erwan was tagged,” A certain @golda_neko replied to Vice. “Surely his notifications will be flooded.”

This caught Loisant’s attention as he reacted: “Yes, that happens once in a while but this time it’s from a 13M followers account so it’s a different order of magnitude.”

“The real Erwan, not the Philippines celebrity” is now Loisant’s bio on his social media page. The Twitter user also thanked some of the celebrity’s fans who apparently congratulated him for “having a baby.”

“Message to the 50 followers from Philippines that I got today: you’re free to stay, but the person you want to follow might be @erwanheussaf,” he said. “Also thanks for your kind words, but the last time I had a baby was 5 years ago.”

Curtis gave birth to her baby girl last Monday in Australia. She and Heussaff tied the knot in New Zealand in November 2017.  /ra
