Sunshine Dizon visits Jesus Christ’s birthplace in Bethlehem: ‘I felt the spirit moving me’
Sunshine Dizon had the opportunity to see the birthplace of Jesus Christ during her current trip to the Holy Land.
The actress arrived in the historical region with her cousins and other companions on Feb. 23, as seen in her Instagram post on the same day.

After a week of touring the Holy Land and visiting different sites significant to Christians, Dizon made her way to Bethlehem in Israel today, March 3. The town is known as the biblical birthplace of Jesus Christ.

Dizon had the chance to visit the “exact spot [where] Jesus was born” in the Church of the Nativity, which is marked by an inlaid silver star.
The actress also uploaded a photo of her bowing and placing her forehead against the silver star on the church’s floor.

“Praise God for making it possible for me to see and venerate in his [birthplace],” she said. “I could not control my tears, i was so overwhelmed and really felt the spirit moving me.”
Prior to coming to the famous birthplace, Dizon visited other historical sites such as Petra, the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Jordan River. /ra
