Erratic friend is the fair-weather sort

/ 12:04 AM February 23, 2020

People who have been “beneficiaries” of Vituperative Narcissist’s (VN) generosity know only too well that she can also get as erratic as her sexual proclivities. But Flabbergasted Mole (FM) swears that, as a friend, VN is really the fair-weather sort. She can turn on the charm when it benefits her, but is quick to ignore even her closest allies when she’s in no mood to explain her “indiscretions” to them.

FM learned this the hard way when, after VN sought FM out for his expert services, VN unexpectedly found herself in a drug-related bind. Careless VN was caught red-handed by authorities, but when FM called her up to find out the circumstances behind the embarrassing drug bust, she refused to accept FM’s phone call.

FM said that it was VN’s same-sex lover (SSL) who answered the call, but FM could overhear VN instructing SSL to tell FM she wasn’t around. “SSL didn’t even bother to cover the mouthpiece, so I heard their exchange,” FM recalled with disappointment. “I’ve always known VN to be ‘unreliable’ as a friend, so I should have known better!”
