No Rome, whose real name is Rome Gomez, debuted only last year with the hit synth-pop track “Narcissist,” from his first EP “RIP Indo Hisashi.”

The sleek and mellow single, which now has over 43 million streams on Spotify, features vocals and production from The 1975’s frontman Matt Healy and drummer George Daniel—No Rome’s labelmate at Dirty Hit.

No Rome and Matt make for a good collaboration because they “make genre-bending pop music.” “We get inspired from places that you wouldn’t expect,” he said in a statement.

No Rome, who grew up in Manila before moving to London, learned the basics of music production at the age of 12, thanks to his father.

“Making music made me get so obsessed with it. I was super into hip-hop and obsessed with J Dilla and Nujabes,” he recalled.
