MANILA, Philippines — It’s the start of “ber” months and netizens could not help but share memes about Jose Mari Chan whose Christmas songs resurge in time for the holiday season.

Chan is no less than “flattered” about these memes that have surfaced on social media a few days before the month of September started.

“I wish that they would not make offensive memes. This song is a gift from our Lord that I share with our countrymen,” he added.

Chan also shared his album “Going Home to Christmas,” originally released in 2012, is already available for streaming on Spotify.

“I have a new Christmas album. Hanapin niyo sa Spotify. Ang title is ‘Going Home to Christmas.’ There are 22 new Christmas songs,” he said.

The legendary crooner said his family joined him in recording these new songs.

“Nakasama ko din diyan ‘yung mga anak ko at isang apo ko. We sang duet with my daughter, with my apo and with my three sons,” Chan said.

One of Chan’s most popular songs is “Christmas In Our Hearts,” released in 1990, which he performed during the show.
