The actress also explained the reason behind building her own place near her mom Marjorie Barretto’s house.

“Fun fact: I will only transfer a few steps away from my mom’s house. People often find it weird and usually ask me, ‘why?’ and I simply answer, “why not?’” Barretto wrote.

While Marjorie raised her to become “independent,” Barretto said her mother is her source of strength. She also mentioned the perks of still getting to eat at her mom’s home.

“My mom is my bestest friend and my number one source of strength. Even though, she has raised me to be independent and brave, I still don’t see any reason why I should be far away from her,” Barretto said.

“Sa totoo lang, kailangan ko pa rin siya. At least, I still get to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at her place. Makakatipid pa rin ako sa ulam at kanin. Sorry mom,” she added.

It was in 2017 when the construction of Barretto’s first house started. /jpv
