Challenging, satisfying role for Dave

/ 12:15 AM June 02, 2019

While he started out in the biz as a member of the boy band One Up, Dave Bornea said he prefers acting to singing, especially now that he’s being given more “interesting roles.”

In the drama series “Sahaya,” the 23-year-old actor plays a flamboyant gay man named Inda.

“I want to try different roles, so I’m happy with this one,” he recently told reporters. “I observe the makeup artists on set and ask them for tips on how to speak or act.”

“We shoot in Batangas, near the sea, mostly outdoors under the heat. We usually start around 3 a.m., then we finish the next day,” the “StarStruck” alumnus related. “It’s quite challenging.”

Dave also said he’s set to have his first starring role in an upcoming movie with Denise Barbacena.

“I would also love to do more soaps in the future and work with other young actresses like Kyline Alcantara and Ashley Ortega,” he said.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
