‘Captain Marvel’ scenes that may have been cut
[Editor’s note: This article contains spoilers on the movie “Captain Marvel”.]
“Captain Marvel” runs for a little over two hours, and as with any movie, some scenes had to be left on the cutting room floor for the story to be cohesive.
Scenes that were reportedly deleted have been revealed by a Reddit user named BrandonAUS who claimed s/he worked on the film as a visual effects artist on “Captain Marvel”, comicbook.com reported on Sunday, March 10.
Reddit user FradiTomi wondered why a still which appeared as an official photo was not in the movie. The scene shows Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and her Kree team passing by Ronan (Lee Pace), a Kree radical who appeared in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies.
In the movie, when Ronan appears, it is either through a hologram or in a spaceship away from the rest of the main characters.
The artist said other scenes that were chopped included one with Yon-Rogg (Jude Law) and the Supreme Intelligence. The sequence took place before Yon-Rogg was sent to find Carol Danvers and the Tesseract.

Yon-Rogg does not reveal who the Supreme Intelligence is to him — it appears as the person one respects the most.
For Carol Danvers, she sees the Intelligence as her mentor in the army, Dr. Wendy Lawson (Annette Bening). The VFX artist revealed that Yon-Rogg saw himself.
The artist also said that there were more scenes between Carol and the Supreme Intelligence.
“I am waiting for my art book from the movie to show up to see if they have any of the original Supreme Intelligence concepts in there,” the artist said.
The comments have since been deleted, and as for other scenes, fans will have to wait until the DVD extras come out.
