‘MMK’ wins Best Single Drama at Asian Academy Creative Awards

Drama anthology series “Maalaala Mo Kaya” or popularly known as “MMK” bagged the Best Single Drama at the first Asian Academy Creative Awards.

Charo Santos-Concio shared the news Thursday in an Instagram post captioned: “We made history!!!!!”

The ABS-CBN executive and actress expressed how proud she is, even describing the recognition as “the best Christmas gift.”

She added: “Thank you for all your hard work, your passion and love!”

Concio also gave a special mention to letter senders whom the program features in their weekly show.

“To all the letter senders, maraming salamat sa pagbabahagi nyo ng inyong magagandang kwento na puno ng aral at pagasa,” she wrote.

The Asian Academy Creative Awards was held at the Capitol Theatre in Singapore on December 6.

The Asian Academy Creative Awards is 2018 Singapore Media Festival’s (SMF) new platform to celebrate the best of Asian storytelling. It aims “to serve the creative industries as the pinnacle of their achievement in content creation and media production.” /muf
