Queen of All Media Kris Aquino recently came to the defense of good friend Vice Ganda who was seen last Sunday, Oct. 21, walking alongside Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos in the airport of Ozamiz city.

Vice Ganda received flak online, but has since clarified to his fans that he wasn’t endorsing the Marcoses—or any other politician, for that matter—and shared that he just happened to be on the same flight as Marcos. Vice Ganda added that he was in Ozamiz to entertain its people. Marcos, based on her social media accounts, was invited as guest of honor in Rep. Henry Oaminal’s state of the district address.

Aquino took to social media yesterday, Oct. 23, to give her take regarding Vice Ganda’s photo with Marcos. She shared that she was tagged so many times in the photo, but stayed away from commenting as she’d only add noise.

“On purpose, I’ve stayed away from political discourse because if I cannot help bring a better understanding of a given situation, and if I’ll only add noise, BEST FOR ME TO STAY QUIET,” Aquino wrote on her Instagram post.

“I’m respectful of a person’s right to choose who they’ll stand with because I was brought up to uphold democracy… I saw the pics & personally didn’t feel it was early campaigning.”

Aquino said Vice Ganda did not need her defense because he has millions of followers on his end. She, however, expressed that she just didn’t want people to make an issue between them.

“Di ko lang trip na intrigahin pa kami; life’s too short para ma stress,” she said, adding that her son Bimby loves his “tito” Vice Ganda. “BIMB wholeheartedly loves his tito vice @praybeytbenjamin… we have FREEDOM of choice in our home. Pag minahal ng mga anak ko, mahal ko rin.”

Vice Ganda, on the other hand, took to Aquino’s post, telling her to just get some rest and that he could handle the matter.

“Sleep na. Rest ka na. Hayaan mo na sila!!!” Vice Ganda assured his friend. “Keri ko na to! Hayabayabayu!!!”  /ra
