WATCH: Jodi Sta. Maria gets teary-eyed on being named top psychology student again
Jodi Sta. Maria has proven that hard work does pay off, in her case juggling show business with her studies.
The “Sana Dalawa ang Puso” star was overwhelmed when she was again named the top psychology student in Southville International Schools and Colleges in Las Piñas, as shown in her Instagram post on Wednesday.
In the video, Sta. Maria’s name is shown as the No. 1 student with an impressive GPA of 3.8. Everyone cheered for her and she got teary-eyed when she received her certificate.
She wrote that taking up psychology, which is a pre-med course, “has molded me, trained me, tested me.” “[B]ut here I am almost at the end of the race as I finish my last year of undergrad studies,” she added.
“I’ve played many roles in my life — an actor, daughter and most importantly being a mother,” she wrote. “But being a student had me seeking out one of the most important gifts from God — the chance to pursue my BS Psychology degree.”
