Casting complete for new Korean movie ‘Girl Cops’
Filming has officially started for the upcoming Korean movie “Girl Cops”, with the cast being completed last week, K-Pop Herald reports.
South Korean entertainment company CJ E&M confirmed that the movie’s cast will include Ra Mi-ra, “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo” star Lee Sung-kyung, and former Girls’ Generation member Choi Soo-young. The three popular Korean actresses will co-star with Yoon Sang-hyun and Um Hye-ran.
The movie is an investigative comedy film centering on former legendary detective Mi Young, played by Ra, who eventually works in the Public Service Center after getting married.
Mi Young then meets rookie detective Ji-Hye, who will be played by Lee. Ra’s character is colleagues with the foul-mouthed Jang-Mi, who will be played by Choi. Yoon Sang-hyun will be playing Mi Young’s husband.
“Girl Cops” will be open in theaters next year, according to the movie’s producers. JB
