Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano is on his way to recovery after his successful open heart surgery and his celebrity friends are cheering for his fast recuperation and stage comeback.

Among them are long-time friend and ASAP co-host Zsa Zsa Padilla. She posted a photo of them singing together on stage during Valenciano’s anniversary production number on the show.

“I am smiling as I write this ‘coz I am proud of how strong you are. God bless you, Gars. Rest well and get back even stronger- and yes, with an amazing story for us all. Love and prayers for you, @angelipv and your children. My turn to be here for you, Gel. Sis, see you soon,” she wrote.

Award-winning composer and musician Ryan Cayabyab was thankful for Valenciano’s successful operation. He also called out to everyone to send love to the singer’s family.

Gary Valenciano’s wife, veteran talent manager Angeli Pangilinan, has assured everyone that her husband has triumphed over his open-heart surgery and is now on his way to recovery.

Valenciano himself, through an open letter, informed the public about his condition and his upcoming surgery the night before his operation.

He said that he felt chest pain after his dance performance with his son Gabriel during his recently concluded 35th anniversary concert.

After a series of tests, he was advised to undergo a bypass procedure to fix the blocked artery in his heart.
